N/R: Alhaji Dagomba Boy call on Ministry of Interior and National Security to channel their focus on insecurity in the Tamale Metropolis

Aspiring candidate for the Northern Regional Chairmanship position of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Inusah Amadu popularly known as Dagomba Boy, has called on the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of National Security, to channel their focus on the surge of insecurity and other criminal activities within the Tamale Metropolis of the Northern Region.

According to the Northern Regional NPP Chairman hopeful, the recent happening within the Greater Tamale and the region is alarming therefore needs serious attention from the national level.

Alhaji Dagomba Boy made this call at a press briefing on Wednesday 9th March, 2022, also cited that the recent snatching of NDC National Second Vice Chairman Chief Soofo Azorka V8 vehicle at his private residence, the stolen of NDC serial caller Alhaji Binyuribuusheli motor bike, and the killing of innocent young man on Monday evening at his private residency, among others is worrying.

Addressing the media, Alhaji Dagomba Boy also call on the Northern Regional Security Council (REGSEC) to be proactive on its duties to forestall the development.

He indicated that, the recent criminal activities within the Tamale Metropolis, is a calculated attempt to tarnish the image of the ruling NPP and the government of Nana Akufo Addo and Dr. Mahamud Bawumia.

 “This is also attempted to disturb the peace within the Metropolis and the region as a whole, which will eventually drive investors away”, he said.

Alhaji Dagomba Boy speaking however, says his outfit is ready to work closely with REGSEC and other security agencies to address the issue of insecurity in the region.

He further warned, “we wish to send a strong message of warning to any group of miscreants out there with the intention of creating fear and panic in the region either calculated to tarnish the image of the governing New Patriotic Party or whatever the motive may be to destabilize the hard worn peace of the country and the northern region, they will be met with equal force in defense of our peace and security”.

PRESS RELEASE BY ALHAJI INUSAH –DAGOMBOY ON WORRYING INCIDENTS OF INSECURITY IN THE NOTHERN REGION

Ladies and gentlemen of the media, friends and concern sons and daughters of the northern region, citizens of the republic of Ghana, members and sympathizers of the great New Patriotic Party.

We invited you here today 9th march, 2022 to share with you recent worrying development in the peace and security of our region, key amongst them includes;

  1. the snatching of the private vehicle of Alhaji Sofo Azorka and a gain
  2.  the alleged stolen motor bike of ………………….(AKA Bin yuri buu sheli) all known members of the NDC…  just to mention but a few.

The trend and pattern of these incidents and other packets of such happenings in the region has created a sense of fear, panic and insecurity in the region among the people and leaves much to be desired.

As a citizen of Ghana and an illustrious son of this region as well as being a leading member of the New Patriotic Party in the region, these developments among others have become an issue of great concern and I sort to rally the support of other likeminded and concern indigenes to ponder over and contribute to find lasting solutions to this emerging security canker. Myself and my team have done wide consultation and brain storming on these security threats rearing its ugly head into our society and have decided to go public with our concerns by involving the media and the entire citizens of the republic to work together in unison to find lasting solutions to these threats of our peace and security.

First of all, we wish to call on the regional security command to as a matter of urgency investigate and un-ravel the Mistry surrounding the circumstances within which the vehicle and motor bike was stolen, bring the miscreant to book and forestall the politicization of these development in the region somehow calculated to tarnish the image of the ruling New patriotic Party and the Government of Nana Akufo Addo and Dr. Mahamud Bawumia.

Secondly, we wish to send a strong message of warning to any group of miscreants out there with the intention of creating fear and panic in the region either calculated to tarnish the image of the governing New Patriotic Party or whatever the motive may be to destabilize the hard worn peace of the country and the northern region, they will be met with equal force in defense of our peace and security.

Furthermore, we want to use the opportunity to call on traditional leadership and all religious leadership of the region – the Yaa –Naa, the overlord of Dagbang, and his able lieutenants, the Yoonaa and the Mion Lana as well as all chiefs within the region to support the call to forestall these emerging threats and bring peace and security to the people as they go about their daily endeavors to improve their livelihood.

Additionally, we will rally the support of the entire youth of the region devoid of political affiliation to support Alhaj Inusah and his team, the security agencies, religious and traditional leadership to nib out all the bad nuts in our society perpetuating this injustice to all. Security is a national duty upon all and insecurity has no colours either. We therefore have a common interest to work together to secure our peace and live in harmony.

We intend to move further to engage, RECSEC, and DIASEC across the length of the region, youth groups, CSO’s, religious leaders and traditional leadership to work tirelessly to deal with these matters.

Long live Ghana, long live northern Ghana!!
