Yaa Naa issues strong caution to two intra-islamic groups Anbariya and Nuriyah

The overlord of Dagbon Yaa Naa Abubakari II, has asked the two intra-islamic sunni communities Anbariya and Nuriya in the Greater Tamale of the Northern Region to foster peace with each other or face his wrath.

According to the King, the region has suffered a lot hence it is important for the leadership of the two giant Islamic groups to preserve and maintain the peace the region is currently enjoying.

“Whenever there is a problem, we call on Imams to solve it. And if today Imams are at each other’s throats it means that we cannot control the situation any longer. Therefore, I am directing them to cease the friction among themselves”, he said.  

The King of Dagbon added that he will not hesitate to deal with any Imam or individual who defies his order. “Whoever goes out there and repeats it, I will isolate that person and deal with him”, he warned.

Ndan Yaa Naa, gives the warning after interacting with the leadership of the Anbariya and Nuriyah Sunni community in the Northern Region.  

There has been a serious friction between Anbariya and Nuriyah sunni community in the Northern Region. Some followers of these giant Islamic groups in recent days are engage words battle and threats via mobile and other digital platforms.

This is not the first time somebody has to mediate between the two powerful sunni groups in the Northern Region. The Northern Regional Peace Council, Northern Regional Security Council (REGSEC) and other peace lovers organizations for the past years attempted resolving the issue but their efforts did not yield any results.
