Residents of Kulinyevila appreciates a philanthropist for fixing part of their main road

Drivers, passengers and residents of Kulyenvila community in the Sagnarigu Municipality of the Northern Region, have applauded the philanthropist, Mr Atta Issah, for the swift response to fix the Kulyenvila road.

According to them, the initiative by Mr. Atta Issah was timely because motorist always find it difficult to drive on the road each time it rains.

They expressed the hope that the members of parliament (MP) for Tamale South and Sagnarigu Constituency would show such acts of selflessness to help their community.

Speaking in an interview to Diamondfomonline.com, some residents and other motorists noted that drivers plying that stretch had suffered frequent breakdown of their vehicles due to the bad nature of the road.

“Moreover, commuters and other road users who use that stretch during this period find it very dangerous and risky, but we are happy our own brother has come to our aid after our plead, and we thank him for his generosity”.

“He is not an MP but he has responded quickly to our plea, and we are calling on both Tamale South MP Honorable Haruna Iddrisu and Honorable A.B.A Fuseini to also come to our aid because the road is 3.9km. And 2.6km has fallen under his (Haruna) jurisdiction while 1.3km fall under Sagnarigu Constituency. Therefore, it is prudent for him to join force with A.B.A Fuseini to initiate plans towards fixing the road”, they said.

A tricycle rider who narrated his predicament on the road said “we will only give our mandate to any person who fix our road”.

A farmer and a businessman of Sagnarigu Municipality at his own expense, has initiated reshaping of the Kuyenvila road.

The initial works undertaken by the resident, Mr Atta Issah, include the leveling portions of the road with gravels which were previously bad and difficult to drive on.

Addressing the media, Mr. Atta Issah, a famer and resident of Sagnarigu of Municipality, said the road works were his personal contribution to the development of the community.

“I am not trying to take somebody responsibility. I am only trying to offer support to my people, and this is the little I can do to help my community”, he said.

He further explained that, it’s his topmost priority and social responsibility to develop societies as well as to change lives of the less privilege persons.

He used the opportunity to encourage people who are blessed with money to support the needy and also contribute their quota towards the development of their various communities.

M r Atta Issah, a philanthropist and a farmer, is lacing his boots to join the NDC parliamentary race within the Sagnarigu constituency of the Northern Region.

The Kulinyevila road was under construction before the 2020 general elections, but work came to a standstill after the 2020 general elections.
