N/R: Concern Youth Group of NPP Pays School fees of two (2) tertiary students

The Northern Regional concern youth group of the ruling new patriotic party (NPP) , through the generosity of its members, has supported some two (2) brilliant but financially disadvantaged students to pursue their tertiary education. 

 The beneficiary students, Musah Samira a level two hundred students at the University for Development Studies (UDS) from Gushegu, and Abubakari Abdul Razak who gained admission at Tamale Technical University (TaTu) from Tamale North received Ghc4,000.00 and GHc 3, 000 respectively from the leadership of the group.

Diamondfmonline.com understands that the gesture is in recognition of the group Special Initiative on Education. And it is the first of its kind in the Northern Region.

In his remarks, the Vice Chairman of the group Abdul Jalil Opele, while thanking members of the group and other benevolent individuals who supported their call narrated that, “we level each member of the group to contribute any amount to support our brother and sister after our attention were drawn to their plight, and so through our contribution and external support from our regional executives and some NPP PCs, we were able to raise the entire tuition fees of our brother and sister hence the gathering”. 

“This is some of the activities the group had earmarked to complement the government efforts toward easing pressure from parents, ” he said. 

He thus challenged his fellow youth within the party to wake up from their slumber and work extra hard for the party to win power come 2024. 

On their part, the beneficiaries who could not hide their joy after receiving the money expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the group for initiating the support.
