“I will not accept any appointment from Samba than Regional Communications Director”- Yussif Danjummah.

The former Northern Regional Deputy Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yussif Danjimmah, has stated that, he will not accept any appointment from Chairman Samba apart from the Regional Communication Director position.

According to him, the Regional Communication Director position was part of the condition for him to bow out from the Regional Deputy Secretary contest at the just ended Northern Regional Delegates elections hence, he will not accept any position apart from the communication director position.

The Tamale Metropolitan NADMO Coordinator mentioned this on Diamond FM Siasa Saha on Wednesday June 1, 2022 saying, “I was promised the position of Communication Director by Chairman Samba in the full glare of the Regional Women Organizer Hajia Rahana, Alhaji Mugis and other campaign team members of Chairman Samba before May 27, 2022.

“And so, any position apart from the communication director position, I will not take it”, he stated.

He indicated that he expects Chairman Samba to fulfil his promise in the coming days adding, “I stood by him during the hard times. People within our party, even my friends from the NDC can attest to the fact that I campaigned vigorously for him to be re-elected as Northern Regional Chairman of NPP. I don’t see any commitment more than this, and I don’t think he will deny me the position. Even if he does, I will not blame him. I will take it that it is the will of God”, he stated.

It is reported that prior to the NPP Northern Regional Delegates Conference, Yussif Danjummah was allegedly forced to step down through the demand from the Konkoba community of the party who also present their own Aniwaba Kwaku Bediako Jeremiah for the Deputy Secretary position.

The report also alleges that, the Konkoba community demanded that, they would only support Chairman Samba, re-elections bid if he made Yussif Danjummah to checkout from the contest.

Meanwhile, Aniwaba Kwaku Bediako Jeremiah at the end of elections on last Friday May 27, 2022, had 258 votes to beat his main three contenders.
