“I will end Yendi water crisis when I become President”, former Prez Mahama assure people of Yendi

The former President and the flagbearer of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has promised the King of Dagbon and the people of Yendi that his next administration will prioritize the Yendi water project to end the water crisis in the area. 

“I am disappointed that with all the work we did on the Yendi water supply project, eight years afte leaving office Yendi still has no water. When I become President, you will not be thirsty again. I am assuring you that my government will resolve the Yendi water crisis”, he said. 

Mr. Mahama made these remarks when he paid a courtesy call on the King of Dagbon at the Gbewaa palace on Monday February 5, 2024. 

The NDC flagbearer, also revealed that his government will also continue the eastern corridor and the Yendi town roads project to enhance free movement of motorists to boost economic activities in the area.

The former president indicated his intention to make Yendi Municipal Hospital a referral Hospital when given the nod to lead the nation.
