Some of the residents of Galinkpegu community expressed their grief and said the incident left the entire community in a state of shock as they cannot come to terms with the demise of their promising brothers.

“I’m yet to believe the death of our brothers because this is strange to us. It has never happened in our community because they have been crossing the dam every day, and what happened yesterday in fact was as shock. We cannot believe it because there weren’t any strong waves to trigger the accident”, a resident lamented.
