The North East Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Sulley Sambian, has stated that the party is poised to deliver all the six parliamentary seats and ensure 100% votes in the region.
According to him, the party in the Region will not relent on its efforts but will rather work hard to ensure 100% votes for NPP come December 7 this year.
The North East Region is central considering the fact that the Vice President’s come from here. So, the whole of Ghana is watching to see how we are going to confer the region to the Vice President and we are ever ready to deliver 6/6 to the party”, he said.
Mr. Sulley Sambian further stated, “the whole North East Region are solidly behind the Vice President bid. We are seeing this as a golden opportunity to prove to the world that, we love our vice president and our brother. It is not an easy one for a region of six constituencies to be producing a President of Ghana, so we take this as a very personal issue and the people of North East Region will never disappoint the vice president”, he assures.
The NPP North East Regional scribe who is also the Chief Executive Officer for Northern Development Authority (NDA) made these remarks in an exclusive interview with diamondfmonline.com at the just ended NPP parliamentary primaries in Walewale.
He said the NPP government, led by Nana Addo and Bawumia has done a lot for the people of North East Region, hence the decision to deliver all the seats and ensure 100% votes.
“Through the Vice President, we have seen Agenda 111 project going on in Bunkprugu. We have seen AstroTurf facilities, construction and tiring of town roads across the region. This points to the fact that the Vice President is delivering”, he mentions.
Currently, the NPP has 4 seats while the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have 2 seats in the North East region.
