Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has donated 10,000 Ghana cedis cash to the management of Diamond FM.
The donation was to support the station to organize its annual Diamond Damba celebration, which is in its sixth season.
A powerful delegation led by the Northern Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Rashid C.O.P, and other members from Bawumia campaign team presented the money to the management of Diamond FM on Monday October 2, 2023, on behalf of Vice President.
During the annual Diamond Damba Festival several activities are undertaken to celebrate the ancient festival.
The blood donation exercise is one of the major components of the Diamond Damba Festival which is aimed at supporting the National Blood Bank at the Tamale Teaching Hospital and other health facilities within the Greater Tamale.
The management of the station also intends to register the National Health Insurance Cards for some vulnerable widows, orphans and some elderly persons at the premises of Diamond FM on Tuesday October 3, 2023.
This year’s DDF activities started on Saturday September 30, 2023 at the Magnolia Recreational Centre where some Fun Games were played between rival tribes and political parties in the Northern Region.
