Diamond FM donates to support Tears of Widows and Anfaani Children’s Home

The Management of Diamond FM a first private radio station in the Northern Region has on Monday October 2, 2023, extended support to the Tears of Widows and Anfaani Children’s Home in the Tamale Metropolis of the Northern Region. 

Diamond FM as part of its annual Diamond Damba Festival celebrations solely relies on support from benevolent individuals, stakeholders and philanthropists to enable it to put smiles on the faces of the vulnerable in society.

The food items donated include eight(8) bags of maize, two 50kg bags of rice, several boxes of cooking oil, five(5) 25kg of rice, packs of tomato paste, milk, sugar, used clothing, packs of baby diapers, detergents, toilet roll, soap among others. 

The gesture aimed at putting smiles onto the faces of the widows and the orphans. Management of the station for the past two years has given packages of provisions and used clothing to Tears of Widows.

This is the sixth edition of Diamond Damba Festival. During this period management of the station earmarked a series of activities to celebrate the ancient festival. 

The activities include fun games, blood donation, registration and renewal of health insurance cards for widows, orphans and elderly, and presentation of food items to the Tears of Widows. 

Speaking on behalf of members of Tears of Widows, Hajia Sirina, thanked the management of Diamond FM for the gesture and also recognizing widows in whatever they do. 

She prayed for the station to elevate to a television.

On their part, management of Anfaani Children’s Home who could not hide their joy also commended leadership of Diamond FM for initiating the support.
