Hon. Habib Iddrisu charges  NPP’s Tolon Constituency to work hard for the party to “Break the 8.”


The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tolon constituency, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu, has called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tolon Constituency to remain united as one family to enable the party win power come December 7. 

He reminded the NPP family within his constituency the need to continue the hard work to ensure the party “break the 8.” 

The Deputy Majority Chief Whip made the call at the Tolon constituency extraordinary delegates conference on Sunday January 21, 2024. 

He urged them to ensure that the party stays united, peaceful and focused to win their contenders all the time.

Delegates in the Tolon Constituency on Sunday January 21, 2024 endorse the candidature of Alhaji Habib Iddrisu as the NPP parliamentary candidate for Tolon constituency. 

The extraordinary delegates conference was supervised by the Tolon District Electoral Commission led by the District Electoral Officer, Mr. Benjamin Teye, who announced Alhaj Habib Iddrisu as the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP.

The announcement follows after overwhelming unanimous confirmation by the 696 delegates, about 24 electoral areas, Constituency executives and council of elders endorse the candidature of Alhaji Habib Iddrisu.

The event was graced by Majority Chief Whip, his boss Frank Annoh Dompreh, Deputy General Secretary of the Party Prof Haruna, his colleagues MPs, Council of Elders, Regional Executives, Chiefs, among others. 

In his remarks, the Majority Chief Whip, Annoh Dompreh commended Alhaji Habib for the role he plays in Parliament. He said he could not have achieved much in parliament as leader if not the support of the Tolon lawmaker. 

He thus urged the people of Tolon to retain him and also vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to become President of Ghana in 2025.
