“Habib is the type of MP we want”, Tolon residents praises their MP Alhaji Habib Iddrisu

Residents of Tolon say they are grateful to the Member of Parliament (MP) of the area Honorable Alhaji Habib Iddrisu for his efforts towards improving the road network within the Tolon township.

They praised the MP who is also a Deputy Majority Chief Whip of Ghana’s Parliament, for facilitating the tarring of the Tolon township roads.

In an exclusive interview with diamondfmonline.com at Tolon the District capital, Alhassan Mahama, an opinion leader applauded the MP for facilitating the completion of the roads within the district capital.

He said the roads were very dear to their heart. “This is the type of MP we want. When he came here, he promised to ensure the government improves access roads in the Tolon township and he has been able to do that”.

“We have also benefited a lot from his lobbying skills, and we thank him for that”, he added.

According to him, the MP since assuming the role as a parliamentarian in the constituency has worked hard to improve the socio-economic infrastructure which is helping to enhance the living conditions and lives of the people within the constituency.

He described the MP as a symbol of hope and development, and asked other residents within the Tolon constituency to put the politics aside and rally behind him to transform the area.

Mr Abdallah Moomen, also a resident and shop owner at Tolon, also commended the MP for the road project saying, the tarring of the Tolon township and other major roads within the district will go a long way to facilitate the easy movement of the people and their economic activities.

“In fact, the dust and potholes on the stretch most especially during the season were too much to bear and we are grateful to the MP and government for addressing our major concerns”, he added.

Work on the tarring of the Tolon township road being executed by the GOP Constructions Company Limited, was steadily progressing.

During a visit on Thursday August 24, 2023, the contractor was tarring the portion of the assembly stretch to the main lorry station.

Diamondfmonline.com also understands that this is the first time Tolon inner roads and other major roads within the district are receiving a major facelift.
