The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has debunked claims that its chairperson Jean Mensah has travelled after declaring Nana Akuffo Addo president elect.
Reports have been rife on social and traditional media in Ghana that the EC chairperson had left the shores of Ghana after the declaration of the 2020 election results last Wednesday.
But in a press release dated Friday, 11th December, 2020, the EC said its chairperson and all other commissioners are at post discharging their duties. Below is the full statement by the EC:
