An aspiring Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region, Alhaji Ahmed Rufai Vellim, has donated assorted items to the management of Diamond FM as his contribution to the successful organization of this year’s Diamond Damba Festival activities.
The donation was done on Chairman Vellim’s behalf by Musah Suadik on Friday morning at the premises of Diamond FM at Nkrumah Volini.
The donated items included 20cartons of Canned Malt, 10 cartons of Milk and 10 packets of bottled mineral water.
Chairman Vellim is part of five candidates cleared to contest the NDC’s Northern Regional Chairmanship position in the upcoming regional executive poles next month.
Diamond FM is organizing the fifth edition of the 2022 Damba Festival activities which will attract people from various tribes from the North including Moshies, Dagombas, Frafras, Kasenas, Grushies, Gonjas and Dagaabas and political parties to battle it out in activities such as a Football Gala competition and other sporting activities on Saturday 29th October, 2022 at the Magnolia Recreational Centre behind Mum Hotel at Dungu on the Bolga road.
The activities will be climaxed with a blood donation exercise, registration and renewal of National Health Insurance Cards for widows, orphans, the elderly and persons with Disabilities, which will take place at the premises of Diamond FM on Thursday 3rd November, 2022.
