Aisha Group of Companies Inaugurates world class 92 beds Aisha Hospital in Tamale 

The Management of Aisha Group of Companies, has on Saturday October 14, 2024, inaugurated an ultramodern 92 bed capacity hospital within the Greater Tamale. 

The facility is expected to immediately begin admission of patients and be used for other health care services. The project was initiated and funded by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aisha Group of Companies Doliwura  Awushie AMS Zakaria.  

The facility was anchored by an emergency/casualty unit, a laboratory, gynecological, oncology, diabetes, neurology, male and female ward, VIP ward, ear, nose and throat clinics, pharmacy, an outpatient department (OPD) and dialysis among others. 

The hospital is also fully equipped with facilities such as  ambulance service, X-ray machines, CT scan, ultrasound, operation theatre fully equipped, MR scan, among others.

In a speech to inaugurate the facility, the paramount chief of the Sagnarigu traditional area, Naa Ambassador Abdulai Yakubu Wumbenkpang, who chaired the inaugural ceremony, expressed his delight at the excellent effort by the leadership of Aisha Group of Companies for establishing a world class health facility within the Greater Tamale. 

 He urged the staff and management of the newly commissioned hospital to abide by professional conduct and code of ethics in carrying out their duties in order to excel in their field.

He highlighted some challenges confronting the health care delivery within the Northern Region and thus called on government and other stakeholders to take immediate steps to address the issues.  

On his part, the Speaker of Parliament of Ghana, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin who was the Special Guest of Honor, and also doubled as Life Patron of the AISHA HOSPITAL, applauded the management of Aisha Group of Companies for such initiative. 

Mr. Bagbin who could not hide his joy at the magnificence of the facility, admonished management and other staff of the hospital to maintain a high level of discipline within the facility. He also called on traditional authorities and religious leaders within the Greater Tamale to support the facility.  

In her welcoming remarks, the Medical Director, Dr. Issahaku Tipaga Sheilla, said the 92-bed facility had put measures in place to offer affordable services to the people of the northern sector of Ghana. 

She revealed that management of the hospital had plans to establish a medical village in the medium term as envisioned in the mission of AISHA Hospital, hence a 100-acre of land has been acquired for the project. 

Several personalities at the inauguration included Nyab’ Tamale Dakpema, Naa Bawa Fuseini, Gulkpe Naa, Choggu Naa Alhassan Mahamadu, MPs, MMDCEs among others.
