At least Eight people have been killed in a voilent attack at Zakoli a Fulani community near Yendi Municipality of the Northern Region.
It is still not clear what could have trigger the attacks on the Fulani people by the unknown gun men but some natives of the community suspect a retaliation of an earlier robbery attack on a young man which led to his death at Zagbang on the Yendi Zabzugu road.
In an interaction with some members of the community, they expressed shock at how the attack could be carried out in brought day light and called on the security to work hard in tracing to bring the perpetrators of the attack to book.
About seven(7) Fulani herdsmen have lost their lives, and houses and properties running into thousands of Ghana cedis destroyed. Even though the attackers are alledged to have bolted with some motor bikes belonging to the Fulani herdsmen.
All attempts to speak to the police at the scene prove futile as they indicated their unreadiness to comment on the matter.
