The Movement for DAN ABODAKPI, a pro-NDC youth group in the northern region has stated that it is important for the main opposition party to go back to its old structures by ensuring total inclusion in national executives’ positions.
According to the group, the NDC used to embrace all at the national executives hierarchy which helped the party to hold onto power for several years.
The movement for DAN ABODAKPI in a press statement indicated that the VOLTA and Northern Region remain strongholds of the NDC; therefore they must be consolidated to enable the party recapture power in the 2020 general elections
Convener and director of communication of the group, Hardi Pagzaa in an interview with Diamond News revealed that the group believes, former President John Mahama would lead the party to victory and it is, therefore important for the NDC to elect a Voltarian, as National chairman of the NDC.
Hardi Pagzaa called on delegates in the Northern Region and the country at large to give their mandate to DAN ABODAKPI as national chairman of the NDC.
The former jailed Trade Minister and Ambassador to Malaysia, DAN ABODAKPI, is among the five aspirants eying the national chairmanship position of the NDC.
