Kalpohini chief caution politicians against turning his palace into campaign grounds.

The chief of kalpohini in the Sagnarigu Municipality, Naa Abubakari Mahama, has vented anger on members of the two major political parties in the area, the abusive and disrespect statements made at his palace recently.

According to him, it has become necessary for him to expressed his dissatisfaction with the attitudes of some of the NDC and NPP sympathizers, towards him at his palace over the week end

He said such comments made at his palace by the political commentators, threatens the prestige and dignity of his authority as chief of the area.

Naa Abubakari Mahama II expressed his anger after the parliamentary candidates of the two major political parties; the NDC’s Alhassan Suhuyini and the NPP’s Alhassan Dramani paid separate courtesy calls on him at his palace to formally introduce themselves to him as parliamentary candidates for Tamale North.

It is alleged that some supporters of the two parliamentary candidates at the palace openly displayed arrogance and rained curses and insults on each other while the chief sat in state.

Unhappy with such development; Kalpohini chief is cautioning the leadership of the two parties in the area to desist from undermining his palace since he doesn’t belong to any political party.

Basically the chief is warning that: his palace cannot be turned into a campaign ground. He said what happened over the weekend should be the last of such disrespect shown to his palace since he wouldn’t allow any politicians or an individual to undermine his throne. The chief is saying he isn’t a politician but only wanted development”.

He concluded that he had taken the past event in good faith, and will let it go, but none should ever come to his palace to display such arrogance or disrespect such that would be fiercely resisted.
