‘Yellow Man’ officially congratulates elected Northern Regional Chairman of NDC
Godfred Apasinaba Sulemana Wumbei (Yellow Man), has officially congratulated the elected Northern Regional chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Adolf Ali.
The former Northern Regional Vice Chairman of NDC after congratulating chairman Adolf Ali, also pledged to work closely with him to ensure the party wins power come December 2024.
The defeated Northern Regional Chairman aspirant, made these known at a press briefing dubbed, “UNITY OF THE NDC FOR VICTORY – 2024 AND BEYOND”.
It would be recalled that Mr Godfred Apasinaba, known as ‘Chairman Yellow’ contested the NDC last regional elections but lost to chairman Adolf Ali.
Mr Apasinaba Sulemana Wumbei went to the elections as one of the favorites to win the chairmanship position, but he lost by just 11 votes. At the end of the elections, he polled 236, while his main contender Ali Adolf John had 247 votes.
Mr Apasinaba Wumbei who wasn’t happy about the outcome of the elections accused the party elections directorate of stealing the elections for Chairman Adolf Ali, and vow not to accept the results.
Addressing the media at the party regional office on Monday April 24, 2023, Mr Apasinaba Sulemana Wumbei, stated that, “Following the intervention of the National and Regional Council of Elders of the NDC and some Party Stalwarts, I wish to call on ALL THE TEAMING GRASSROOTS OF THE NDC IN NORTHERN REGION to bury our differences and work in UNITY, and by extension call on Leadership of the NDC at all levels in the region to extend an Olive Branch to all comrades who participated in the Party’s recent reorganization towards victory in the upcoming general elections in 2024”.
“For the collective good of the party in Northern Region, let us rise above our parochial individual interest and work towards regaining our lost glory. The task ahead of us is to again be called the strong hold of NDC as a region”.
“Our focus for now is to marshal all the forces within the party to self-police and defend the true contents of our ballot boxes in order to win the polling stations in our various constituencies”, he urged.
Chairman Yellow Man in his address thus, urge all party members in the Northern Region to be on board to ensure the NDC win sixteen parliamentary seats in the Northern Region come 2024.

Welcome and good morning to you Ladies and gentlemen of the Media.
Thank you for responding to our invitation this morning.
Ladies and Gentlemen of the media, we invite you this morning on a mission of “Unity of the NDC in Northern Region for Victory — 2024 and beyond”. This is in reference to the maxim that “UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL”.
Following the intervention of the National and Regional Council of Elders of the
NDC and some Party Stalwarts, 1 wish to call on ALL THE TEAMING GRASSROOTS OF THE NDC IN NORTHERN REGION to bury our differences and work in UNITY, and by extension call on Leadership of the NDC at all levels in the Region to extend an Olive Branch to all Comrades who participated in the Party’s recent reorganization towards Victory in the upcoming General Elections in 2024.
Surely, this is the only way the Aspirations and the Hopes of the Masses of the patty in Northern Region and Ghana can be met. “TO ERR IS HUMAN AND TO FORGIVE IS DIVINE” as the spirit and blessings of the Holy Month of RAMADAN remain fresh in us.
For the collective good of the party in Northern Region, let us rise above our parochial individual interest and work towards regaining our lost glory. The task ahead of us is to again be called the strong hold of NDC as a region.
Our focus for now is to marshal all the forces within the party to Self-Police and defend the true contents of our Ballot boxes in other to win the Polling Stations in our various Constituencies. All hands must be on deck, so that together we deliver at least Sixteen out of Eighteen MPs and 85% Northern Regional Valid Votes cast to H.E. John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in the upcoming General Elections 2024.
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Media, it is imperative we remind ourselves and the general Public, the dangers and Hazards of Historic Hardship Ghanaians are exposed to by this Clueless, Despotic, Oppressive and non-performing government under Akufo Addo and Bawumia leadership…
Press men and Women, we wish to put it on record that; “We shall vehemently Resist with our Blood” any intimidation and attempts to steal the Legitimate will of the Ghanaian Electorates in election 2024 by the NPP and their cohorts. The NPP government would have no option than to berg and hand over power to HIE. JDM and the NDC in January 2025, if the NDC is legitimately elected by the Ghanaian people.
We also wish to urge the Security Agencies to remain neutral and loyal to the state. Electoral Commission and its agents must act professionally to uplift its fallen integrity from the 2020 elections, as well as ensure a level playing field for all Political Parties in the upcoming Elections.
In Conclusion, Northern Region and Ghana in particular has largely been peaceful, and this peace must not be taken for granted, neither can it be sacrificed for the ambitious FANTACY OF Breaking the Eight (8) Mantra, even at worst performance in the History of the Republic.
