WUDZA praises Diamond FM’s public education on the corona virus pandemic.

A livelihood empowerment Non-governmental Organization, Wuni Zaligu Development Association (WUZDA Ghana) has donated a hand washing facility to Diamond FM as part of measures to help curtail the spread of COVID-19.

Programmes manager at WUZDA Ghana, Abdul-Karim Ziblim who made the donation to Diamond fm said it was part of efforts by the organization to promote hand washing in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He added that, the donation was also to appreciate the good works of Diamond fm and encourage workers of the station to continue with the education against the COVID-19 since the station has a wider listenership within the region.

Abdul-Karim Ziblim also called on other individuals and organizations to join the education and sensitization of the deadly coronavirus to help curb the spread of the virus.

Deputy Programmes manager at Diamond fm, Abdullah Abdul-Gafaru who received the hand washing facility thanked WUZDA Ghana for their benevolence and contribution to limiting the spread of COVID-19.

He said the station will put the facility to good use adding that the virus is not a respecter of any person and the station will therefore intensify the education on radio to help halt the spread of the coronavirus.

Abdullah Abdul-Gafaru also encourage the public to reach out to the Tamale Teaching Hospital which has been earmarked as an isolation center within the northern region to enable them respond appropriately to all COVID-19 cases that will be reported at there.

Wuni Zaligu Development Association (WUZDA Ghana) was founded in 1992 with the aim to assist develop and build skills of the vulnerable and the exclude to understand and to comprehend their civil rights and liberties as enshrined in the 1992 constitution of the republic of Ghana.
