Two female clubs from Tamale are bundled out of the Women’s Normalization Competition

The two female premier league clubs participating in the on going Women’s Normalization competition have failed to qualify to the next stage after losing their respective games over the weekend.

Pearlpia Ladies were embarrassingly defeated 3-0 by Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the Alhaji Aliu Mahama stadium to dump their chances of progressing to the quarter finals of the competition.

Northern Ladies were manhandled in far away Sunyani after losing 3-0 to Prisons Ladies who have qualified in Group B alongside with Ampem Darkoa going into the last group matches.

The outcome of the final match between Pearlpia and Northern Ladies would not affect Prisons Ladies qualification since they have a better head to head record over Northern Ladies. The first leg ended 2-2 in Tamale whereas Prisons defeated Northern Ladies 3-0 in Sunyani.

Results in the final group matches do not have any effect on the qualification of both Prisons and Ampem Darkoa, thus Pearlpia and Northern Ladies have been bundled out of the competition. See the standings below:

TABLE:
Ampem Darkoa 9pts
Prisons Ladies 8pts
Northern Ladies 5pts
Pearlpia Ladies 4pts
