The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tolon Constituency, Honorable Habib Iddrisu, has touted his success as MP for Tolon constituency, saying his outfit has brought more development to the area in less than three years.
According to him, he has been able to partner with government and other relevant institutions to ensure fair share distribution of developmental projects in the area.
He said through his efforts, a number of developmental projects including schools, health centers, road infrastructure, electrification projects, and human empowerment were initiated and executed in the constituency.
“Unprecedented development in the Tolon constituency. I have done tremendously well. Those who made me the MP are also seeing that development is going well. There is no single electoral area in my constituency you will not see my effort”, he said.
“We are losing counts of the development that is erecting in the various parts of the constituency; the Tolon township roads is done, the reconstruction of Kating daa market phase one project is on going, construction of District modern library, construction of Astroturf facility within the Tolon township is on the process,” he added.
“I am trying to change the face of Tolon constituency, ” he mentioned.
The MP who doubles as Deputy Majority Chief whip made these remarks on Diamond Power Drive a Political Talk Show on Thursday November 2, 2023.
Touching on the road network in the area, the MP, indicated that no political fauthority had made any effort to open up the constituency.
However, he said through his efforts Tolon township roads has been tare and other major roads within the constituency have been worked on while others are still on construction to make the constituency accessible.
Speaking on the issue of school infrastructure, the MP noted that his outfit has initiated the construction of Ten (10) physical School Buildings across his constituency. He said he also facilitated the construction of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) schools in his constituency.
“I have one of the STEM schools projects in my constituency and when it is completed it will match if not more than the standard of TAMASCO” because it will be equipped with boarding facilities and a science laboratory”, he said.
Hon Habib Iddrisu who was speaking on a wide range of developmental issues also highlighted how his outfit supported women in his constituency.
“I have helped a lot of women in my constituency in terms of micro finance, I supported those who are into farming to plough and I am initiating several models to empower more women in my constituency”, he said.
