Tamale North MP commissions Health Centre and Nurses Bungalow at Choggu

The chiefs and people of Choggu community of the Sagnarigu Municipality in the Northern Region, have praised the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale North constituency, Honorable Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini for his efforts towards improving health care delivery in the area.

According to them, they are grateful to the MP for his attention and commitment towards ensuring quality health care within his constituency.

They made these praises after the Tamale North legislator in collaboration with Qatar Charity Organization handed over an ultramodern clinic with essential medical equipment and supplies, nurses bungalow and mechanized borehole to the Sagnarigu Health Directorate.

The Chief of Choggu Naa Alhassan Mahamadu who made the praise on behalf of the people said “we thank the MP and his development partners for their intervention to provide us this facility to save lives. We are happy, and we want to assure him that we are ready to take good care of the facility to ensure its purpose”, he stated.

The MP for Tamale North Constituency, Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini in collaboration with Qatar Charity Organization, on Thursday May 2, 2024, handed over an ultramodern health facility to the chiefs and people of Choggu a suburb of the Tamale Metropolis.

The project was initiated by the MP with funding from the Qatar Charity Organization as part of an initiative to ensure quality health care delivery within the area.

The facility has a male and female ward, a delivery room, pharmacy, an outpatient department (OPD) among others.

In his remarks, the Tamale North law maker emphasized his commitment to bringing quality health service close to the people to improve their livelihoods.

He said the commissioning of the Choggu Clinic is the four in a series of health centres he collaborated with Qatar Charity to build across his constituency.

“It is also important to know that this is one of the many projects that together with Qatar Charity, we have been able to execute in Tamale North to serve the people.”

On the maintenance culture, Mr Suhuyini advised the Sagnarigu Municipal Health Directorate to pay attention to the facility by putting it into good use.

He commended the Chief of Choggu, Naa Alhassan Mahamadu , for providing the land for the execution of the project.

On his part, the Country Director of Qatar Charity organization Dr. Mohammed Ali, assured the MP of their readiness to continue partnering with him to improve health care delivery within his constituency.

The Sagnarigu Municipal Health Director, Mr Mark Abugri, in his remarks thanked the MP and the Qatar Charity organization for the gesture and assured the MP that his outfit will ensure the facility is put into good use.
