Savanna Region’s Hajia Safia Mohammed appointed Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the NPP

The Savanna Regional Women’s Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hajia Safia Mohammed, has been appointed as Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the NPP.

This was made known on Saturday at a brief interaction with the media at her private residence shortly after her appointment. The female politician made known her curative plans to improve the electoral fortunes of the party in the years to come.

Hajia Safia Mohammed apart from her role as Savanna Regional Women’s Organizer has also served the party in several positions in the past. She was Deputy Northern Regional Women’s Organizer of the NPP. And while in school, she was the Students Representative Council (SRC) Women’s Commissioner at the Tamale Technical University.

At the short media interaction, she noted that “As a former SRC Women’s Commissioners and a Former Deputy Northern Regional Women’s Organizer and the incumbent Women’s Organizer of the Savanna Region, I think I have a whole lot to partner with my boss, the national Women’s Organizer, Obaatanpa Naana Ayisha, Maame Kate Gyamfua and the entire national executives so that we can work together to deliver for the party come 2024. And protect the good legacy of his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.”

“It is a new role all together, but per the job description, I don’t see it to be new, I have done it before and I know with her support, Insha’Allah our main focus and target as a political party is to break the Eight, which I know come 2024 with the good works and foundation laid by his excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, Ghanaians would surely give us another term to serve and protect our progress and continue our good leadership and service to Ghanaians,” she added.

Ms. Safia Mohammed in her remarks also called on her colleague members of the women’s wing within the five Regions of the North to partner with her to enable her represent fully at the national level.

“I am one of them, we are colleagues, I am from here, we have done it before, we have to work together, and I think this time around, I need their full support. It is a call to serve and not to lead, the position is for them, I am only representing them as an individual, I need their support to work hand in hand with them, their usual support and cooperation, so that we can lead the party to break the Eight.”

She thus encouraged members of the women’s wing of NPP not to relent in their efforts but rather they should continue to work hard to ensure the party retains power come 2024.

“We need more women on board and I will encourage the women to come out massively to work for the party, we have done our best and Ghanaians acknowledge that and come 2024 they will surely reward us with that by president Nana Addo handing over to an NPP president,” she said.

She expressed her gratitude to the Savanna Regional NPP executives, her campaign team and other individuals for their continued support.
