Tamale Mayor Reappointed as Northern Regional Rep to the National Council of NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reappointed the Mayor of Tamale, honorable Sule Salifu, as Member of the Northern Regional representative to the National Council of the party.

This was made known, in a letter dated August 26, 2022 and signed by the National Chairman of NPP Stephen Ntim.

“Please, in accordance with article 9 (27d) and 10(3) of the NPP Constitution. I write to offer you appointment as a Member of the Northern Regional Representative to the National Council of the party.

“Please, indicate in writing, address to the Regional Chairman, your acceptance or otherwise of this offer”, the letter read.

The National Council is the second highest decision-making body of the ruling NPP.

This is the second time the party is appointing Mayor Sule Salifu, to represent the Northern Region at the national level.

Honorable Sule Salifu is believe to be the oldest Member of the NPP in the Northern Region.

Mayor Sule Salifu, apart from his role as Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of Tamale, also serve the party in several positions.

He was the Northern Regional Secretary of NPP for Four years, Northern Regional Communication Director of NPP from 2018 to 2021, and also a key member of NPP northern regional communication team.

He was also a member of the Northern Regional campaign team of NPP for the 2016 and 2020 general elections.

He is noted to be an ardent promoter of ideas and policies of NPP in the Northern Region.

Meanwhile, Mayor Sule Salifu has since accepted the offer and pledge to bring on board his old experience to help the party break the Eight.
