The Management of Puzuri Group of Companies in the Tamale Metropolis of the Northern Region, have donated some assorted items to Diamond FM towards this year’s Diamond Damba Festival Celebration.
The items included: 10 Cartons of Milk, Cartons of Voltic Mineral Water, and 10 Cartons of Non-acholic Malt drink.
The management of Puzuri Group of Companies, also handed over GH₵ 2,000 cash to the management of the station to support other activities lined-up for the festival.
The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Shaibu Luckman in a brief interaction with Diamondfmonline.com commended management of the station for using the Damba Festival to support vulnerable persons in society and also help to save lives at the various hospitals.
“Since last year, we have been observing what Diamond FM has been doing in relation to the Damba festival activities and the support they have been extending to widows and children and so we thought it wise that this year we should also put in something small to support Diamond FM in that regard because they are doing a good job,” he indicated.
He explained further that, “one of our main objectives at Puzuri is to extend support to farmers to uplift their livelihoods, what Diamond FM are doing when you trace it well, you will realize that, most of the widows are farmer’s wives and children they have left behind, and since our aim is to improve the livelihoods of farmers, when we support in that regard in the long run, we will be achieving our objectives, therefore the decision to support Diamond FM.”

Meanwhile, during the annual Diamond Damba Festival (DDF), several activities are undertaken to celebrate the ancient festival. This year’s DDF activities starts on Saturday 29th October, 2022 at the Magnolia Recreational Centre where fan games will be played between rival tribes and political parties in the Northern Region.
This will be followed by a blood donation exercise which is one of the major components of the Diamond Damba Festival which is aimed at supporting the National blood bank at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH).
