NDC: Attah Issah launches Spelling Bee Competition to promote education in Sagnarigu constituency

An aspiring National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Sagnarigu constituency, Mr. Atta Issah, has launched a Spelling Bee competition for pupils within the Sagnarigu constituency.

The competition is to inculcate a reading habit among the school children of the Sagnarigu constituency.

In his welcoming remarks, the aspiring NDC Parliamentary candidate, expressed his commitment towards promoting the educational sector in the Sagnarigu constituency.

“I believe that education is the key to unlocking our potential and creating a brighter future for our community. This competition is just one of the many initiatives that we will undertake to promote the education sector, and I am excited about the opportunity that lie ahead”, he said.

He said, the competition intended to motivate and sustain the interest of students in reading, promote healthy competition among students and schools as well as help improve results of students in English Language and prepare them for higher learning.

Honorable Atta Issah further explained that, “as someone who is interested in the development of the constituency, I recognize the importance of investing in education, particularly in promoting quality education for all”.

“This competition is an important step in this direction. It is an opportunity for us to show our support for our students and to demonstrate our commitment to promoting education in our community”, he added.

Atta Issah after the launch of the competition, thus constituted a five-member committee to manage the affairs of the competition.

Meanwhile, students from three circuit in the Sagnarigu Municipality participated in the competition at the launching ceremony.

The contestants were drawn from the Junior High School (JHS) level. The schools include, Bagabaga Demonstration JHS, Sagnarigu Girls Model, and Bagabaga Collage of Education JHS.

Each of the contestants and participating schools received awards from the organizers.
