Assalaam Organization, an Islamic charity organization within the Northern part of Ghana, has on Friday commissioned and handed over an ultra-modern Mosque to Muslims at DARIGOHI FONG a suburb of the Tamale Metropolis in the Northern Region.
The Saudi Kingdom funded Mosque known as HISSAT SULTAAN MINDEEL Mosque, has ancillary facilities such as an ultra-modern conference hall, mechanized boreholes and wash rooms among others.
Ghanaian born Saudi Arabia scholar in charge of the Assalaam organization humanitarian services in Ghana Sheikh Mohammed Al-Habib Daud, facilitated the building of the HISSAT SULTAAN MINDEEL Mosque.
In a short message during his sermon, Sheikh Al-Habib Daud reminded Muslims to be bonded by the tenets of Islam built on the foundation of “Peace and total submission to the Will of Allah.”
He also highlights the importance of Ramadan as the period of Fasting is fast approaching, and urge Muslims to be guided by the principles and teachings of Islam ahead of the Ramadan period.
On his part, the chief of Lamashegu traditional area, Naa Ziblim Abdulai, commended Assalaam organization for their efforts towards spreading the Islamic religion.
“Your efforts have enlightened many Muslims about the Islamic religion, and may God bless you and your organization, the chief stated.
The commissioning of the Mosque attracted many opinion leaders, including Lamashegu Naa, and his sub chiefs, elders of Darigohi community, and Muslims from all walks of life among others.
