Reject politicians who comes to you and talk about Abudu and Andani –Business Minister

The Minister for Business Development, Dr.Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, has call on chiefs and people of the Northern Region to reject any politician who intend meddling in chieftaincy issues in Dagbon before, during and after the 2020 general elections.

According to him, the region is lacking in all sector of development, hence the need for people of this part of the country to show politicians who want to use Dagbon chieftaincy issues for their political gains and parochial interest.

Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal made the call at a ceremony to present cheques to the beneficiaries of this year Presidential Business Support program Window 2 here in Tamale.

“Politics is about development, therefore the people of this part of the country should embrace government social interventions to enriched themselves, and not allow themselves to be deceived by chieftaincy politicians”, he said.

“Politics is not about destructions. It’s about development. When a politician comes to you and talk about Abudu and Andani, please kindly reject them. They should tell you how they will help you in education and health, how they can fix your roads, and how they can build your businesses for you”, he stressed.

The North is lacking behind in many areas. So, it’s only  northerners that can take their destinies and build themselve. Therefore, I want to encourage my brothers and sisters to embrace government social interventions, such as health, education and agriculture and turn Northern Region and Northern Ghana for a better  place”, he stated.
