MP’s one church one bag of rice rejected by churches

Some Christians in the Damongo district of the Northern region have gone wild on their MP, Mr. Mutawakil Adam for donating one bag of rice to all Churches in the district.

Speaking to Rainbow Radio’s Prince Kwame Tamakloe, the Christians accused the lawmaker for being unfair, bias and has looked down upon the Christians in the area.

They explained that, during Ramadan, their Moslem counterparts are usually given many bags of sugar and rice for their celebration.

Meanwhile some of the churches have declared their intention of retuning the bag of rice to Mr. Mutawakil Adam.

“This is an insult to we the Christians, we are not hungry people. If you want to give us something for the celebration, must is be a bag of rice for all the churches here” they quizzed.

“We will return this bag of rice to him on Monday” they hinted.

The MP is however yet to comment on the matter.

It could be recalled that a section of the constituents including his NDC party members have lamented over the activities of Mr. Mutawakil and how he has neglected the constituency ever since he was voted into power.

They have vowed to show the NDC MP the exit come 2020.
