MORE SUSPENSIONS FOR GHANAIAN REFEREES

The Confederations of African Football (CAF) has further banned and suspended more Ghanaian referees who were caught in the Anas Aremeyaw Anas investigative piece titled #Number12.

A statement on the CAF website dated 5th August, 2018 said the suspensions were done after a disciplinary board meeting of CAF with the said officials on Sunday.

While some officials such as David Laryea gets a life ban, the rest have at least a 10 year ban “from all CAF related
football activities”.

Others have been invited for further hearing by the CAF disciplinary board at a later date.

This can be seen as an end to the careers of most of these referees as some are already aging.
