Former Ghana international Hamza Mohammed has been named as assistant coach and scout for the Northern sector of the male national under 15 team.
The Tamale City head coach will serve in a technical team led by another former international Yaw Preko.
Hamza Mohammed was assistant to Ben Fokuo at the national under 17 team, the Black Starlets for a year.
The current role means the nation will be counting on the vast experience of Hamza Mohammed who has also been a youth national player himself. He is also credited for having captained all the national teams he has played in his prime.
Hamza Mohammed captained the national under 20 team the Black Satellites to win gold at the African Under 20 Championship in 1999.
At club level Hamza Mohammed played Real Tamale United and later served as assistant coach. Other teams he has played include Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Accra Hearts of Oak, King Faisal, New Zealand Knights among others.
Hamza Mohammed will be bringing his rich vain of experience to serve as assistant to Former Ghana winger Yaw Preko who is head coach of the National Under15 Boys Team.
Preko, a former Black Satellites coach has been hired to replace Samuel Boadu who has moved to the Black Satellites as Assistant coach.
He previously worked as Head coach of the Black Satellites in 2019.
Yaw Preko, a former player of Accra Hearts of Oak also played for Anderlecht, Fenebahce, Gaziantepspor, Halmstads and Al Ettifaq FC.
Yaw Preko won over 65 caps for Ghana during an International career that spanned 15 years. He currently works as head coach of Premier League side Medeama SC.
