Gbuɤili FC game against City Football Club end in a stalemate in Kumbungu

City Football Club played a 0-0 draw against Gbuɤili FC in a friendly match at the City Field in the Kumbungu District of Northern Region.

Both clubs failed to find the back of the net after several chances were created in both halves of the game.

CFC attacking midfielder Mutawakil Hakim came close to give his side the lead in the 65th minute when he shot wide for a goal kick after going pass the two defenders of Gbuɤili FC.

Meanwhile, Gbuɤili FC winger Mohammed Wadudu nearly punished CFC in their penalty area after their defenders failed to clear a dangerous cross from the left flank.

Coach Shafiu Sualihu in an interview with Diamond Sports said “the friendly match gave me an opportunity to assess the strength and weakness of my team going into the impending season”.
