Communications Minister rallies support for ruling NPP in Savelugu

The Minister for Communication Ms Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has said it is only the NPP led by President Nana Akufo-Addo that can take Ghana to the “land of development and progress” and has therefore urged Ghanaians to maintain the NPP come December 7.

She cited several government interventions including the Planting for Food and Jobs, One- village-one dam, FSHS policy, one constituency one ambulance, one district one-factory among others that she said has improved the lives of many Ghanaians.

“We came and managed the debts, they destroyed the economy, and took us to IMF because they could not even get loans so they went and hid behind the IMF for policy credibility because nobody wanted to work with Ghana anymore”

“Many of you are farmers and when you farmed you were always in debts with your banks but today because of the PFJ you’re benefiting from the subsidized fertilizer and you and other people can now farm profitably”

Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful who is also the MP for Ablekuma West whiles addressing the women wing of the NPP in Savelugu in the Northern region said “the time for taking a decision for our future as a country is now” and charged the people of Savelugu to vote massively for the NPP come December 7th.

She added that “there was a freeze on employment into the public services, they went and signed that they won’t hire anybody into the public services so nurses, teachers who are qualified were sitting at home but when we came, we brought NABCO, forestry, and the many other interventions that are giving you jobs”.

Member of Parliament for the Savelugu constituency Hon. Mohammed Abdul Samed Gunu on his part said the Savelugu constituency has witnessed an unparalled development since the Nana Addo government took office in 2017.

He urged the people of Savelugu to have confidence in him as their MP and the NPP for more development saying “we will bring more factories to Savelugu so that our sisters and daughters won’t go to the South to look for jobs rather people will come here for jobs because of the factories”

Municipal Chief Executive Hajia Ayishetu Seidu acknowledged the contributions of the women to the NPP and urged the women wing in Savelugu to step up their efforts in the door-to -door campaign to canvass more votes for the party come December 7.
