Akufo Addo’s style of governance is tyrannical and dictatorial, let’s vote him out! – John Mahama

Former president and torchbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday successfully went through the biometric registration process at Bole, his hometown in the Savanna Region.

Mr. Mahama was received by a large crowd when he touched-base for the EC’s exercise which is in its final stage.

The NDC torchbearer implored qualified Ghanaians that have attained the voting age and of sound mind to endeavour to acquire their voter’s ID card to enable them participate in the December 7 general elections.

Former president Mahama also addressed recent happenings at some registration centres across the country saying; such reported incidents of violence were deliberate attempts to remain in power by the Akufo-Addo government whom he described as possessing a governance style of tyranny and dictatorial.

Mr. Mahama further quizzed:

“President Rawlings was the first president under the Fourth Republic. He ruled this country for eight years and handed over peacefully to President Kufour, President Kufour was in power for eight years and he handed over the peaceful and united country to the late Professor Evans Atta Mills and I took over in 2012 after the unfortunate passing over of Professor Mills. I handed over a peaceful and united country to Akufo-Addo. Unfortunately, what nation is Akufo-Addo going to handover to me when I take over from him in 2021?”

The NDC torchbearer accused the Akufo-Addo government of trampling Ghana’s democracy, but promised that He will bring back the peace and unity in this country. He thereby called on the electorates to come out in their numbers to register so they will kick out the NPP.

As part of the Johm Mahama’s visit to his home region, he would in the next four days be touring some registration centres and communities in the Savanna, Northern, Oti and Volta Regions.

He will also pay courtesy calls on a number of traditional rulers during his tour.
