• Andani Royal family urges media to be circumspect with their reports on Ya-na Yakubu Andani’s funeral which begins tomorrow Friday, January 11

Ahead of the performance of the final funeral rates of the late king of Dagbon, Ya-Na Yakubu Andani II which begins on January Friday, January 11, the leadership of the Andani Royal family has cautioned journalists that would be covering the funeral processes to be circumspect with their reportage.

Briefing the Media, the spokesperson of the family, BASHARU ALHASSAN DABALI, said the funeral planning committee had establish a publicity committee desk to solely provide information to media as part of measures to ensuring accuracy in media reports for the Royal funeral.

The final funeral rates of the late king of Dagbon Yaa Naa Yakubu Abdulai Andani II, is expecting to commence on 11th – 18th January 2019 at the old Gbewaa Palace in Yendi, the Traditional capital of the Dagomaba people.

Basharu Dabali who double as vice chairman of funeral publicity committee, appealed to the media to get their information relating to the Ya-na’s funeral from the rightful place.

Meanwhile sources closed to Diamond News have indicated that some chiefs had started arriving in Yendi ahead of the funeral processes.
