Walewale NPP Primaries: High Court Order Electoral Commission to open Ballot Box

The High Court in Tamale on Wednesday 7th August 2024 ordered the 3rd Defendant (the Electoral Commission) in the West Mamprusi District to open the Ballot Box and provide copies of the used Album or Register of Voters used in the 27th January, 2024 NPP Parliamentary Elections in the Walewale Constituency pursuant to its earlier Order for the production of the ballot box, and the used Register into Court and for copies thereof of the used Register to be made.
Diamond News gathers a scrutiny of the used Register at the Court confirms the case of the Plaintiff Hajia Lariba to the effect that:

  1. There was Double Voting.
  2. There was Voting by Dead Delegates.
  3. There was Voting by some Absentee Delegates among others.

The case was adjourned to 14th August, 2024 for case management and possible trial.
