Tamale Metropolitan Health Director praises Tamale Central MP for prioritizing health care in the area
The Tamale Metropolitan Health Director, Dr Seidu Barikisu, has commended the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central Constituency, Honorable Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala for his efforts towards improving health care delivery in his constituency.
According to Ms. Barikisu, the Tamale Metropolitan Health Directorate is grateful to the MP for his attention and commitment towards ensuring quality health care within the metropolis.
Dr Seidu Barikisu made these praises by the Tamale Central legislature at the event to hand over a fully furnished health facility with essential medical equipment and supplies to the chiefs and people of Sakasaka- a suburb of the Tamale Metropolis.
“We thank him for his intervention in providing us four health facilities within four years. We are happy, and we want to assure him that we are ready to provide quality health care to the people of Sakasaka and its adjoining communities”, she assures.
The Member of Parliament for Tamale Central constituency Honorable Ibrahim Mohammed Mutala, has on Saturday 23, November 2024 handed over a fully furnished health facility to the chiefs and people of Sakasaka of the Tamale Metropolis in the Northern Region.
The facility whose construction was initiated and fully funded by the MP, consists of a male and female ward, delivery room, maternity ward and injection room, waiting room, children’s ward, consulting rooms, wash rooms, records among others.
The commissioning of the sakasaka Health facility, formed part of the MP’s efforts to promote health care delivery in the area.
In his short remarks at the handing over ceremony, Honorable Mohammed Mutala, expressed his gratitude to the chiefs and people of sakasaka community.
The MP while encouraging the chiefs and the community members to own the facility, also highlighted some developmental projects his outfit initiated and executed within the four years. It includes, construction of four (4) health facilities, construction of over 80 mechanized boreholes, sponsoring of over 40 medical students, provision of extra classes for BECE candidates, donating of mathematical sets and money to BECE candidates among others.
