Tamale Mayor thrown out of a political event that he had showed up uninvited!

The mayor of Tamale, Iddrisu Musa Superior on Tuesday morning was thrown out of an event organized by a group within the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) that has been campaigning for his removal from office.

The Polling Station Executives and Electoral Area Coordinators in the Tamale Central Constituency of the NPP had met for a presser when the Mayor showed up at the venue, but his presence would not be countenanced by the group who accused him for being a part of Tamale’s growing problems.

It was unclear if Musa Superior who had being in inspection a facelift at the Tamale Jubilee park, ahead of President Nana Akuffo Addo’s visit to the Region tomorrow, Wednesday, showed up at the press event as a gesture of reconciliation with the side or not?

Most of the polling station executive and electoral area coordinators hailed insults and curses at the mayor; whiles there were some attempts by some of them to physically assault him. The timely intervention of his security detailed and some of the executives saved him. They then escorted the grimaced looking Musa Superior to his vehicle.

It is strange to note that this same group of polling station and electoral executives were earlier on Musah Superior’s side during his bickering with executives of Tamale Central and South constituency who were then calling for his removal as MCE.

But now, the group maintains [that] Musah Superior is part of the problems the NPP is facing in the metropolis; therefore they didn’t want him anywhere near their program.
