NDC Chairmanship aspirant promise to recapture all lost seats in the Northern Region

An aspiring Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region, Godfred Apasinaba Sulemana Wumbei (Yellow Man), has stated that his administration as Northern Regional chairman of NDC will see the party recapture its lost seats in the Northern Region.

Godfred Apasinaba popularly called (YELLOW MAN) indicated that, he is a grass-root man and had experience in the party mobilization at the grassroot level, and will therefore use that experience to ensure the party win majority parliamentary seats in the Northern Region.

The NDC Northern Regional Chairman hopeful made these comments on Diamond FM Constituency Watch a political talk show on Tuesday November 8, 2022.

He touted his achievement as unprecedented in the history of the party in the Northern Region.

“I have performed well as an ordinary member of the party. I have touched all bases within, and party members can attest to that”, he claimed.

He thus appealed to the delegates to give him the mandate come Sunday November 13, 2022, to enable him transform the party in the region.

Godfred Apasinaba in 2018 contested the same position but lost to the late Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila.

The National Democratic Congress will go to the polls from November 12 and 13 to elect new regional executives to manage the affairs of the party for the next 4years in the region.

About 609 delegates from 18 constituencies are expected to participate in the election on November 13, 2022.

Some 52 aspirants are vying for ten positions in the region.

All eyes are on the chairmanship position because the incumbent first Vice Chairman Alhaji Ahmed Rufai Velim, and Ali Adolf are struggling out with Godfred Apasinaba Sulemana Wumbei who is contesting for the second time.

The contest appears to be a three -horse race as the two vice chairmen bid to attain the position is being threatened by Godfred Apasinaba, popularly known as Yellow Man.

Alhaji Umar Farouck, appears to be out of the contest as little is known or heard about him.

The political space of the NDC in the region is very high with all aspirants seriously campaigning and meeting delegates and other groups.

The traditional media space within the regional capital Tamale are witnessing series of engagements and campaigns to win the hearts of the delegates.
