Gov’t has no plans to reopen schools, consultations ongoing; Oppong Nkrumah.

Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah says government is only opening up a dialogue with stakeholders on possible opening up of schools should all the restrictions be lifted.

Addressing the issue at Thursday’s presser on the country’s dealing with the COVID-19 situation, Oppong Nkrumah who is also MP for Ofuasi-Ayerebi said the ongoing consultations formed part of the easing of the general restrictions by government which includes adherence to precautionary measures.

He said apprehensions from parents, students and teachers were normal, however, it was necessary for those worries to measured while exerting patience and patience and waiting on government’s final decisions even as the dialogues and consultations with stakeholders continue.
