DREAMS FC ARE GHALCA G8 CHAMPIONS

Premier League returnees, Dreams FC lifted the 2018 GHALCA G8 after they came from a goal down to beat Accra Hearts of Oak 2-1 in the finals in Cape Coast.

Daniel Kordie gave Accra Hearts of Oak an early lead when his spectacular 11th minute strike from 25 yards zoomed into the net.

Dreams however, hit back just seven minutes later, with Kweku Adjei Darko getting the equaliser.

Dreams FC were awarded a penalty in the 63rd minute, which Leonard Owusu converted to give Dreams the lead; a goal which turned out to be the match winner.

As the Phobians fought on for the equaliser, their woes were deepened when captain Inusah Musah was sent off seven minutes from time following a second yellow card.

Dreams held on firmly until the referee blew his whistle for the end of the match.

The trophy marks Dreams FC’s first major laurel at the top level of Ghanaian football.
