It was a showdown of words between former Northern Regional Treasurer of the NDC, Tanko Abdul Rsahid Computer, and embattled current Regional Secretary, Salisu Be- Awuribe on radio on Monday morning.
The war of words has further deepened the cracks within the opposition National Democratic Congress NDC in the Northern Region.
Abdul Rashid Computer on Diamond fm alleged that, the newly elected regional secretary of the party was creating disaffection for his regional chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila by tagging him as an anti-John Mahama who is campaign to re-lead the NDC.
He said the current executives instead of working to better the fortunes of the party in the region were rather plotting an evil agenda against the current chairman of NDC.
But this allegation prompted the Regional secretary of NDC, Salisu Be- Awuri-be to deny the said plot. Be-Awuri-Be said accusations that he went about tarnishing his regional party chair’s image were misleading, except that he had gone to the Nyankpala overlord to complain to him about the attitude of Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila towards some of the regional executives of the party.
The regional NDC scribe’s explanation did not go down well with the former treasurer of NDC, who kept interjecting.
Such response, made the embattled secretary who was at the weekend attacked by some factions within the NDC for hosting a secret meeting; to react that he only could deal with credible people.
