Concerned NDC stalwarts in Daboya/Mankarigu petitions party leadership to intervene in brewing tension in the constituency

Some Concerned stalwarts of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Daboya/Mankarigu Constituency have petitioned the party’s leadership to step in to urgently address the brewing tension arising out of the suspension of their constituency chairman and 10 other branch executives.

In a petition the group asked to know the extent to which the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) has proceeded with investigations into the alleged suspension of the constituency chairman and 10 branch executives.

It would be recalled that the FEC stepped in March this year to independently investigate and addressed the issues raised concerning the suspension of, Alhaji Mohamed Mutala as constituency chairman together with 10 others, but according to the concerned stalwarts, not much has been heard since, hence they wish to know the outcome of that petition.

The petitioner said the former Member of Parliament for Daboya-Mankarigu, Shaibu Mahama is alleged to have embarked on a ‘thank you’ tour with some constituency executives, where the vice chairman, was introduced as acting chairman, because the chairman was on suspension.

The petitioner explained that this has led to unnecessary tension in the constituency and they as petitioners are therefore asking the leadership of the NDC to take the necessary steps to address all aggrieved parties and bring peace for the benefit of the party in the constituency.
