Baba Abdul Rahaman, number one left back of the senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana has donated sports kits to his former boyhood club Young Meteors FC.

The over Gh¢10,000 items include 30 balls, 2 sets of jerseys (32 pieces of yellow jersey with black stripes and 32 pieces of green color jersey with blue stripes all with a ‘Young Meteors’ inscription on it), 2 set of hose (45 pieces each set to go with the 2 color jerseys) and a cash amount of Gh¢ 7,000 to run the day-to-day activities of the club.

Making the donation on behalf of the left back, Alhaji Sulemana Baba the elder brother of the former Kotoko player, narrated that his younger brother support to his former club is to appreciate the club that steered him to stardom.

He expressed hope that the donation will also motivate the current younger generation of players to give off their best to the course of the team.

Alhaji Sulemana said the Black Stars wing back has been monitoring the performance of the club and believes they have what it takes to redeem the image of the club in the impending season.

Alhaji Abass Bawa, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Young Meteors FC expressed appreciation to the player for coming to the aid of the club when it matters most.

“These are the items that we need badly and they have reached us at the right”, he said.

“This is not the first time he (Baba Rahaman) has been supporting us”, he revealed.

Alhaji Abass added that the items will go a long way in inspiring the young ones to give off their best in the impending season in Northern Region.

He noted that the entire Young Meteors FC family is behind the Reading FC left back and are having him in their daily prayers for him to make the final squad of Coach Otoo Addo for the Black Stars of Ghana in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
