The Northern Regional Campaign Coordinator for Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Alhaji Baba Sadiq Gushegu has presented assorted items to the management of Diamond FM ahead of the 5th edition of the DIAMOND FM DAMBA FESTIVAL.
The items include several cartons of Malta Guinness, and cartons of Milk.
At a short meeting to present the items Alhaji Baba also donated an undisclosed amount of money to the management towards the annual Diamond Damba Festival activities which begins with fun games among rival tribes and political parties in the Northern Region on the 29th October, 2022. It will be followed by the blood donation exercise to support the blood bank of the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) on the 3rd November, 2022.
In a brief interaction with Diamondfmonline.com, Alhaji Baba Gushegu described the initiative as a commendable one and praised Diamond FM for maintaining such an initiative in saving lives at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) over the years.
He thanked management and staff of the station for always taking the lead in associating themselves with activities that are beneficial to the general public and called on other institutions to emulate the example set by Diamond FM.
“I just want to thank Diamond FM for that wonderful initiative to save lives, I actually applaud the station for this kind gesture and may Allah bless and guide the station”, he said.
The annual event which is in its fifth season would see activities such as Blood donation, Renewal of health insurance cards for orphans, widows, elderly, and some selected persons with Disabilities, football matches between some selected tribes including the Frafras, Dagaabas, Dagombas, Gonjas, Kasinas, Moshies and the various political parties within the greater Tamale area.
