Anta sponsors mock exam for JHS Candidates in Karaga.

Member of Parliament for Karaga Constituency Dr Mohammed Amin Adam Anta, has sponsored a mock examination for final year Junior High School (JHS) candidates in his constituency.

The exercise worth GH¢ 10,000.00 is been organized with support from the District Education Directorate to prepare the candidates for the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

At a short ceremony to present the sponsorship package to the education directorate, Hon. Iddrisu Mohammed Saani the Karaga District Chief Executive on behalf of the MP said, 776 students from 24 public schools would be taking part in the mock examination.

He said the gesture formed part of the MP’s quest to improve academic performance of schools in the district.

“Education is a priority for our MP, he has initiated and implemented several educational policies include the Anta Scholarship scheme for tertiary students, the 1 teacher 1 laptop program, Computer labs for schools, the Nyong Vocational School and the Pishigu Secondary School project to enhance education in the district”, he stated.

Mr Saani therefore entreated the pupils to do away with fear and concentrate on their books to ensure they come out successfully in the BECE.

Madam Theresa Adori a finance administrator at the Karaga District Education Directorate, who received the package on behalf of the directorate, commended the MP for instituting such an exercise to promote quality education delivery in the district.

She said the gesture would go a long way to help the students to overcome fear and panic that resulted in their poor performance.

Madam Theresa therefore called for a collective effort in sustaining the program to help improve academic performances in schools across the district.
