AgroCrown West Africa Company Limited hands over renovated 3-Unit Classroom Block to the people of LINGBUNG

AgroCrown West Africa Company Limited a leading agro inputs importer and distributor in the country, has over the weekend handed over a fully renovated three-unit classroom block, head master office and staff common room to the staff and pupils of LINGBUNG D/A PRIMARY SCHOOL in the Tolon District.

School children at the Lingbung D/A Primary school can now learn in a well-furnished classroom for effective teaching and learning after the management of Agrocrown, handed over the well-furnished facility with offices to the chiefs and people of Lingbung.

Management of Agrocrown in June this year undertook a serious renovation work of the school block after their attention was drawn to its devastating state.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony at the school premises, the managing director of Agrocrown West Africa Company, Pearl Gborglah said the renovation project is one of several community development initiatives focusing on education by Agrocrown.

She indicated that the renovation of the school block represents the convergence of hope, dedication, and action. According to her, it embodies the belief that every child deserves a safe and conducive learning environment.

“When I first heard the news item about the state of the school’s infrastructure on TV3 and subsequently on Citi TV, I quickly reached out to my team here in the North, to carry out reconnaissance to ascertain the state of the school block. Their report highlighted the deplorable state of the school’s infrastructure, and immediately, the leadership team at AGROCROWN adopted this as a project”, she said.

“We must recognize that this project is not just about walls and roofs but about the potential that lies within these walls. It is about the knowledge that will be acquired, the dreams that will be nurtured, and the leaders who will emerge from these classrooms in the next few years”, she added.

Madam Pearl Gborglah, while calling on the staff and community members to pay good attention to the facility and ensure it is put to good use, also encouraged the pupils in the school to take their studies seriously to enable them secure a better future.

On his part, the Tolon District Chief Executive, Honorable Salifu Issifu Moshei, whose speech was read on his behalf, expressed appreciation to Agrocrown West Africa for its diverse assistance, especially in the area of supporting and enhancing quality education in the district.

He revealed that, president Nana Akufo Addo, has resolved to partner with the private sector to ensure that inline with Sustainable Development Goal (SGD) 4 there is inclusive and equitable quality education and the promotion of lifelong learning for all.

He thus admonished parents to take their wards education seriously by enrolling them to schools.

Meanwhile, the staff and pupils of Lingbung D/A Primary school who could not hide their happiness expressed their gratitude to the Agrocrown West Africa for the facility and appealed for more support from the benevolent organizations.
