Two chiefs and 24 other suspects in Yong Dakpemayili disturbances remanded into police custody

The Tamale circuit court presided over by His Lordship Appiah  Twumasi has remanded all the26  accuse persons including the two chiefs into police custody in connection with the renewed conflict that broke out at Yong Dakpemayili  a suburb of the Tamale.

All the 26 accused persons and the two chiefs are scheduled to reappear on Friday April 17th 2020.

The 26 accused persons and the two chiefs were charged with Conspiracy, Causing damage, Causing harm, and Possession of fire arms in a distracted area.

At least two persons have been shot as a result of the renewed chieftaincy clashes at Yong Dakpemayili.

A visit by the team of diamondfmonline.com indicated that several houses have been burnt into ashes.

The two brothers Mohammed Chimsi, and Fuseini Chimsi are both holding themselves as chief of Yong.

Yong Dakpemli has been engulf with confusion between two biological brothers after the performance of the late Yong Dakpema funeral over months now

Meanwhile it is reported that all attempts by the king makers to resolved the impasse between the two brothers proved futile
