Coach of Tamale City FC, Sellas Tetteh has been presented with a brand new Hyundai (2017 model) car by the chairman of the board of directors of the team, Dr. Issahak Nashiru.
Dr. Issahak Nashiru is a former governor of the Bank of Ghana and alongside former chairman of the Ghana Football Association Alhaji Mohammed Nurudeen Jawula struck an agreement at the beginning of the season to co-own the club, hence the change of the name from Guan United to Tamale City.
The donation comes a day after the team’s 4-0 resounding victory against Glory Stars in the ongoing Division One League on match day six at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale on Wednesday.
Tamale City are one of the teams unbeaten so far in the season. This donation will therefore come as a further boost to the team’s technical head going forward.
At the team’s training session on Thursday, an elated Sellas Tetteh thanked the board chair for the gesture describing his role in the team as a welcome one when he decided to join them.
Tamale City will travel away to play against Zone One leaders Unity FC at Kenyasi No. 1 on Sunday in their match day seven fixture. Sellas Tetteh took the opportunity to add that his team will respect the opponent as they are not leading the zone for nothing.
